CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS REGULARLY

By regularly changing your passwords' length, special characters and complex syntax, you will indeed contribute to improve your computer's security and protect your sensitive information.

A bad guy can get your password in 4 basic ways

  1. By „Phishing“ and „Social Engineering“, or just by asking..
  2. Use dictionary words at the login prompt
  3. Crack the encrypted/hashed password
  4. Leach the password off your computer with keylogger malware

Your privacy matters more than anything else.

Here are a few tips for you

  • Create a password of at least 8-10 characters of small and big letters combined with numbers
  • Do not use the same password on your other user accounts, but create different passwords
  • Change your passwords regularly: every 90 days
  • Autosaving a password is convenient for you when you visit your favourite page, but it also presents a risk if you use the same password on multiple sites and services.
  • When you share the computer with others or as a part of a network, create different user accounts protected with different passwords.
  • In order to safeguard your privacy must great care be made on your user accounts and passwords. If we neglect our responsibility and if it ever gets compromised then we have ourselves to blame.
  • The more frequent that you can change your passwords, the better.
