Bafoussam- Morning city tour and later on transfer to Bafoussam, the capital of the Bamileke region of Cameroon. Along the way to Bafoussam you will stop at Bandjoun, the largest and best preserved of the Bamileke chiefdoms. The people of this region are originally from the northern highlands and upon their migration they established one of the most complex and interesting tribal chiefdoms in Africa. Even today ancient secret societies and fraternities continue to operate. While in Bandjoun you will visit the Chefferie Bandjoun (old chief's palace), where the palace guide will take you around the famous compound and the palace museum. After breakfast, we devote all the day in the Waza park having a surface of 170,000 ha subjected to a tropical sahélien climate (700 to 800 mm of rains per year) where you can see certain rare mammals such as the damalisques ones, the cob of Buffoon, elephants and well of others and in the west of the park you will see a forest belt whose gasoline’s dominating are: the acacia seyal, balanites aegyptiaca, the amo-geissus leiocarpus, etc, We return to the resort, diner and night (Night with the Waza resort).
Whole day safari in the park with the help of local guides. With a little luck you will spot a great abundance and variety of wildlife. The park also offers some of the best bird spotting in West Africa. Later in the afternoon, drive to Maroua for the night. [O/N Mizao Hotel or similar]
