Cairo ~ White Desert ~ Dakhla ~ Kharga ~ Luxor ~ Cairo 13 days  

Day 1
Pick up at Cairo Airport. Transfer to the Hotel and check in.
We will have lunch in a typical Restaurant in down town.

Day 2

Cairo - Bahariya


After breakfast we will pick you up to drive by mini bus to Bahariya Oasis. Walk around the old village of the oasis and see the groves of palms and fruit trees. Local tour to the hill top ruins “the English House”, the Temple of Alexander and the Golden Valley of Mummies.

Day 3

Bahariya - White Desert

After breakfast trip by Jeep to the White Desert. We will pass the Black Desert and the Valley of El Heiz with its hot spring. We will stop at Crystal Mountain and the volcanic rocks in the Valley of El Akabat. After our arrival in the White Desert, we l explore the amazing rock formations where we watch the sunset.

Dinner will be served out side. Over night stay in tents.

Day 4

White Desert - Dakhla


After breakfast we will have a look at, watch the beautiful white rocks and mountains and the beautiful desert roses. We will have lunch in Farafra Oases. Afterwards we move on to Dakhla Oasis. We will stop to visit the Islamic Village (El Qasr).

Dinner. Accommodation: Hotel

Day 5

Dakhla – Kharga


After breakfast we check out from the hotel to drive to Kharga Oasis. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Then we start the tour by visiting El Bagawat the old Roman Christian site and the temple of Hibis. If requested we can also visit the local pottery and tapestry work shop.

Dinner. Then we will go out in a coffee shop to see the local life of the Oasis.

Day 6

Kharga - Luxor


After breakfast check out of the hotel and start our drive to Luxor and embarkation.

Day 7

Luxor


After breakfast we will pick you up at your stay. We drive approximately one hour to the Dedera temple with his wonderful ceiling paintings.

We will have lunch on the way.

In the afternoon we will visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Afterwards we will enjoy the Karnak light and sound show. The whole temple and grounds are bathed in light whilst listening to the story of the temple.

Day 8

Luxor - Esna


Breakfast. Visit the West Bank including the famous Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings actually has two components - the East Valley and the West Valley. It is the East Valley which most tourists visit and where most of the tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs are located.


Following we will visit the Valley of the Queens, also known as Biban El Harim. The tour ends with a visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut named Deir El Bahari, one of the most beautiful of the royal mortuary temples and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. 

Sail to Esna.
Dinner and over night in Edfu.

Day 9

Edfu - Kom Ombo


After breakfast we will visit the temple of Edfu. It was dedicated to the worship of god Hours represented as a falcon. He is one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt (Pharaonic and Greek architecture). Afterwards we sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board.


After lunch we will visit the Kom-Ombo Temple. This temple was constructed in the Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of god Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. It is noted for relief engravings on its walls which show ancient surgical tools, bone saws and dentistry tools. Nearby there are three mummified crocodiles. They are now in Hathor's chapel).


Sail on to Aswan. Dinner and over night stay on board.


Day 10

Aswan


After breakfast we will visit the Philae Temple. It is the main temple on the island, with its huge, complete, pylons and beautiful scenes and high dam. The high dam was constructed to replace the old Aswan dam built in 1902. Visitors can easily locate Lake Nasser. Now while we are on a trip to the Unfinished Obelisk we can see innumerable inscriptions in the area around the quarries. We will have dinner and over night in Aswan.


Day 11

After lunch; Sightseeing old Islamic Cairo


We are going onwards to the Coptic Cairo, home of some of the oldest Christian churches in the world and retrace the steps where Mary and Joseph walked thousands of years ago.


We will visit the Hanging Church, also known as El Muallaqa that was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and it was believed to have been built at the end of the 3rd century. Built on the outer wall you will see the Greek Church of St. George. Following is a visit to the Church of St. Sergius, a perfect example of Coptic churches and monasteries. It was founded at the end of the 4th century and it stands on a crypt that is said to have sheltered the holy family during their flight from Egypt.


We will have dinner in a typical Restaurant close to Khan el Khalili market.


Afterwards we will visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Shops in this district are legendary for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques and more! Everything for sale in these shops is negotiable.


Day 12

Cairo classic tour


Pick up at your stay in Cairo. Ride to Giza to visit the legendary majestic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos - also known as the Great Pyramids of Giza. You will see firsthand d why these spectacular man-made monuments are known as one of the seven wonders in the world. When we finish exploring the Great Pyramids our next stop is a visit to the Sphinx monument; guarding the royal burial chambers and temple of Cheops.

In the afternoon we will visit the Egyptian museum of antiquities, which was established in 1902. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art — the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutanchamun collection of treasures, gold, and jewellery, as it was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920’s when his tomb was excavated.

Day 13

Breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
