Cairo ~ Abu Simbel ~ Aswan ~ Luxor ~ Cairo 10 days
Day 1
Pick up at Cairo Airport. Transfer to the Hotel. We will have dinner in a local Restaurant in down town.
Day 2
After breakfast you will visit the Egyptian Museum. After lunch we will visit the Khan el Khalili market. We will have a coffee break in between. Dinner.
Day 3
Pick up at your stay in Cairo. Ride to Giza to visit the legendary majestic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. When we finish exploring the Great Pyramids our next stop is a visit to the Sphinx monument; guarding the royal burial chambers and temple of Cheops.

In the afternoon we will visit the Egyptian museum of antiquities, which was established in 1902. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art - the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutanchamun collection of treasures, gold, and jewellery, as it was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920’s when his tomb was excavated. Dinner.
Day 4
Pick up at your stay in Cairo. Drive through the countryside to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid. You will get a detailed history on Imhotep, the Egyptian architecture who created this pyramid and how he accomplished this major undertaking.
When we finish exploring this area we will visit the Pyramid of Teti with its inscribed texts and several private tombs.
Following is a visit to the open air Museum at Memphis where the Colossus of Ramses the II, the largest statue of Ramses the Great can be seen in the place where it was discovered, see the Alabaster Sphinx alongside.
Day 5
Flight to Abu Simbel
Upon arrival you will visit the Temple of Ramses and Temple of Queen Nefertari.
Flight to Aswan and embarkation. Lunch on board.
After lunch we will travel to the High Dam of Aswan. Continue to the unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan.
Day 6
After breakfast a short motorboat ride takes us to the island Agilika to explore the Philae temple, dedicated to the Egyptian goddess Isis. The temple has been dismantled and reassembled on this island, some 550 meters from its original location on Philae Island which was submerged when the High Dam was built.
Afterwards we will cruse down the Nile, visit the Greco Roman Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the two gods Sobek the crocodile God and Haroeris the Sun God. Continue sailing to visit Edfu Temple - the best-preserved and second largest Temple in Egypt.
Then we will sail to Luxor. Over night stay on the boat.
Day 7
After breakfast we will cross over to the West Bank of Luxor where the Valley of the Kings and Qeens, Queen Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon awaits you.
After lunch we will visit the great Temple of Amon and the temple of Luxor. Dinner.
Day 8
After breakfast you will visit the Ramesseum, the Temple of Ramses II. Afterwards you will visit the Luxor museum and study the artefacts. Attend a special lecture by the director of Luxor’s antiquities for new discoveries.
Day 9
After breakfast transfer to the Airport. Departure to Cairo.
Check in your hotel. The afternoon is for your own. At night you will have dinner with your guide in a local Restaurant.
Over night stay in the Hotel.
Day 10
Transfer to the Airport for departure.
