Rhino Charge

It is an off road event where by the competitors visit 13 points scattered on a 100 sq km of rough terrain of bush, swamps, cliffs within a span of 10 hours. The event which is held to raise funds for conservation of Aberdare ecosystem requires bravery and high levels of skills in off road driving and navigation.

Lamu Cultural Festival

The Lamu Cultural Festival is normally held in the month of August though occasionally held in November, is a colorful combinational of traditional dances, indoor and outdoor cultural activities and an exhibition of Lamu’s rich material culture. Maulidi is the biggest of the Lamu’s annual festivals held every third month of the Muslim calendar. The event which is a celebration of prophet’s Mohammed birth is crowned with traditional Swahili dances from neighboring Islands, traditional dhow races, bao games, donkey racing, henna painting and Islamic Calligraphy competitions.
